The Etna Rosso 'Contrada Santo Spirito' from the Baglio di Pianetto winery comes from vineyards cultivated between 800 and 850 meters on sandy soils of volcanic origin that provide finesse and aromatic precision. Made from pure Nerello Mascalese grapes, it is vinified with soft pressing and then aged in steel on noble lees before a long rest in the bottle. On the nose, it opens with floral notes of red rose, hints of medlar and pomegranate, notes of Tarocco orange, and Mediterranean nuances of thyme and wild fennel. On the palate, it is fresh, savory and mineral, with a long and persistent finish. Ideal when paired with herb-marinated beef tagliata.
