'Settenani' Tenuta Fornace 2023

The Riesling 'Sette Nani' from Tenuta Fornace originates in the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, where Andrea Rossi is the heir to a long tradition of Pavia viticulture. The love for the territory is also reflected in the preservation of old vines: the Riesling grapes for this white come from a seventy-year-old vineyard, rooted in calcareous and chalky soils. The name evokes the carefree nature of a fairy tale, perfect for accompanying Schita, the traditional snack of Oltrepò made with water, flour, and lard. Fresh and citrusy, it opens on the nose with citrus and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is straight and taut, with the sharp freshness typical of Riesling.
